ABOUT JERRY BALDWIN

IMG_9021.JPG

Jerry Baldwin earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of Montana in 2001 and lives in Arlee, Montana, on the Flathead Indian Reservation. He works out of his home studio, fashioned from a 1907 warehouse on his property. He fires his work in one of his two kilns, a 13-foot anagama or the six-foot catenary arch wood kiln. Jerry continues to honor the integrity of wood firing that has existed for thousands of years. He is interested in hand-made objects that are simple and elegant and rustic and beautiful.
